English video suggestion
Story suggested for an English videoclip, working title Rocky Rollator - Doomsday Delayed: Elderly people play Bingo and gamble in a casino. After receiving Job's news from TV they call their grandchilds and roll off. They occupy the nearest stock exchange and turn it into a complete mess, producing a worldwide chaos on all possible markets. By chance (or is it a miracle?) this saves the world, just milliseconds before the complete self destruction of mankind.
German version
The German version of Rocky Rollator was written as the soundtrack for a musical videoclip, reflecting an experimental video-event where three generations meet and create something together and by themselves.
A pilot was shot on 2012-09-24 in Schwäbisch Gmünd under extremly minimalistic circumstances. Now I would love to see lots and bigger performances of this kind of event and video production in many German cities in the future. A short presentation Rocky Blueprint - Go film yourself! is yet available only in German.
English version
As the German words for the chorus were halfway English anyway, I tried to find some English verses that could fit. The German verses are malapropisms of popular folk songs and evergreens that are usually sung by elderly people in Germany, all more or less reflecting the message: "Today WE are the stars".
The English verses are all about Bingo, as this is one of the most common stereotype refered to seniors in English speaking countries.
